About Me

Jasurbek Masimov

Hi, I am Jasurbek Masimov (OSCP | OSCP+), a dedicated Computer Science student driven by a strong passion for web development, cybersecurity, software engineering, and mathematics. I enjoy solving complex problems, building secure and efficient systems, and continuously expanding my knowledge in both theoretical and practical domains of computing.

My Projects

Project 1

pEnum

Powershell Enumeration script during post-exploitation phase to gain quick overview of the Windows system for further privilege escalation.

Project 2

CVE-2018-15745

Automated version of the original PoC for Argus Surveillance DVR 4.0.0.0 created for educational purposes (written in Bash).

Project 3

Automatic File Sorter (in Bash)

Simple script that stores all files by their extensions recursively in a newly created folder. It helps cleaning quickly desktop files mess.

Professional Skills

C / C++ / Java

Application Development: Proficient in building both console applications and graphical desktop software, using Qt (C/C++) and JavaFX (Java) to deliver responsive, cross-platform user interfaces.

Testing: Solid understanding of software quality practices, including unit testing and integration testing. Experienced with Google Test (C/C++) and JUnit (Java) to write reliable, maintainable test suites.

Bash / Powershell / Python

Security & System: Applied these languages to hands-on security engineering: developed CVE exploit proofs-of-concept in Bash, built Active Directory auditing and system hardening scripts in PowerShell, and engineered an SQL injection testing tool in Python.

PostgreSQL / MySQL / PL SQL

Experienced working across relational database systems, from writing and optimizing queries to authoring stored procedures and business logic directly in PL/SQL. Comfortable operating at both the application layer and the database layer.

Penetration Testing

Offensive Security: Practiced across three core penetration testing domains, with hands-on experience conducting web application, network, and Active Directory engagements. Proficient with an industry-standard offensive toolkit: Kali Linux, Nmap, Nessus, Burp Suite, Impacket, and Responder, among others.

Git & GitHub

Collaboration & Project Publishing: Comfortable with Git across the full development workflow — branching strategies, pull requests, code review, and maintaining a clean commit history. Maintains a public GitHub profile with multiple published projects spanning systems programming, desktop applications, and security tooling.

Networking

Network Engineering & Analysis: I took several networking courses during my university studies and I'm proficient with networking protocols (TCP/UDP) and networking technologies like Wireshark and tcpdump. I'm very interested and I know how to configure switches, routers and networks particularly with Cisco hardware.

Operating Systems

OS & System Programming: Formally trained in operating systems administration and system programming through university-level Cybersecurity and Computer Science coursework. Proficient in x86 and ARM assembly, with deep working knowledge of core OS internals: process and memory management, file systems, I/O, virtual memory, concurrency (threading and synchronization), and deadlock analysis.

Problem-Solving / Algorithms

Analytical Thinking & Competitive Programming: Strong mathematical foundation combined with a self-directed study of data structures and algorithms has developed a systematic approach to complex problem solving — breaking problems down, reasoning through edge cases, and building toward clean, efficient solutions. An active Codeforces competitor, putting these skills to the test against timed, high-difficulty challenges.

SIEM / Firewall Management

Defensive & Security Monitoring: Experienced with defensive security tooling across detection, monitoring, and response. Familiar with SIEM platforms for log aggregation and threat correlation, Wazuh for host-based intrusion detection and compliance monitoring, XDR for unified cross-layer threat visibility, and firewall configuration for network perimeter defense.

HTML / CSS / JS / PHP

Front-End & Back-End Development: Proficient across the full web stack, from crafting responsive interfaces with Tailwind CSS and Bootstrap, to building dynamic front-ends in React, to developing server-side applications in PHP using CodeIgniter 4 and Laravel. Comfortable implementing clean MVC architectures across both frameworks.

Hosting / Cloud

Deployment & Cloud Infrastructure: Accumulated hands-on deployment experience across multiple hosting environments over several years, taking projects from development to live production. Holds a working foundation in cloud infrastructure, leveraging Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform for application hosting and backend services — including as the cloud layer powering several mobile application projects.

Mobile Programming

Android Application Development: Built a progression of Android projects of increasing complexity, developing hands-on familiarity with the Android SDK, application architecture patterns, UI development in both XML and Jetpack Compose, and build automation with Gradle.
